A Twist on the Classic French Tip

A Twist on the Classic French Tip 6

A friend of mine is going to a wedding this weekend and she mentioned the wedding colors are black and white. How classy, right? It gave me the idea on a simple yet classy nail look. Here is a nail tutorial on my twist of the classic french tip using shiny black polish and silver glitter.

Paint 2 coats of a nude color to give your nails the ultimate shine. Let dry.

Paint black polish carefully at the edge of your nail. I didn’t care to have clean lines on my nails for this part but if you do, use a piece of tape to cover the your nail leaving just the edge. Apply black polish over the tape. Peel off the tape before the paint dries. Let the black polish dry.

I like to use the L.A. Colors Art Deco silver polish because it has a thin brush that helps create fine lines. You can always place a few drops of any silver polish on a business card (or any thick paper so the polish doesn’t run through) and dip a thin brush (i.e. lip brush, small paint brush) to cover up the rough edges of the black polish. The silver is opaque enough to hide ugly lines making the manicure look flawless.
