A sash is a great way to draw
unwanted attention to the bride-to-be when she is out celebrating with her close friends and family. Plus, how many times in your life can you justify wearing a sash? This would also be great for any guest of honor for major life events such as birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers…etc.
For this project I used
– wide black ribbon
– 1-2 sheets of blue felt from Michael’s (I only ended up using 1/2 a sheet)
– tacky glue
Start off by figuring out how long you want the sash to be. Cut and set aside.
Find an easy-to-read font. Type what you want your sash to say.
I decided on BACHELORETTE. Print in 120 pt font.
Cut out each letter and place on felt. Cut again.
Arrange letters on sash to figure out spacing. Place a bit of glue on a piece of paper and use a toothpick to spread tacky glue on the back of each letter.
Press each letter on the sash.
Let dry for a few hours. Wait til the bride-to-be tries it on to adjust the sash to the length she wants and tie a knot at the end. Easy!
The party was this past weekend so here is a picture of the bachelorette at the beautiful Domaine Carneros Winery in Napa! Stay tuned for one more bachelorette party DIY!
